Important usage note

How an inflatable rooftop tent works
The WEEKEND is an inflatable rooftop tent: instead of a heavy base made of metal or wood, you sleep on an inflatable drop-stitch platform – the same principle as a stand-up paddle board. Thousands of threads connect the top and bottom layers, so the inflated platform becomes firm and flat. That's why the WEEKEND is so light: from 11.5 kg tent weight.

Inflate the platform
With the included hand pump, the drop-stitch platform is firm in about 5 minutes. A compressor is faster – and you can have your first coffee on the side.

Set up the tent
Thread the aluminium poles and set up the tent directly on the platform – all on the ground, no ladder needed.

Lift it onto the car
Lift the finished tent onto the roof bars as one unit and fasten it with the buckles.

Place the ladder
Put the ladder in place – your weekend cabin is ready. Before you drive on, the WEEKEND always comes back down.
The WEEKEND is the first of its kind
Rooftop camping should be simpler, more affordable and more everyday than it has been. We love sleeping on the roof – but the way it's been done so far is too complicated, too heavy and too expensive. It's no coincidence that the average rooftop tent owner also owns a detached house. Is over 40. And male. For him and his needs, there are plenty of great tents on the market.
But not for us and our needs. They look completely different. We don't want to plan a round-the-world trip, sink a fortune into gear or drive a house around on our car. We want to start the weekend laughing – ideally on Thursday. Swimwear in one hand, rooftop tent in the other, and off towards the sunset. And when the weekend is over, it disappears into the cupboard. Together with all the other fun stuff that means adventure to us.

How does an inflatable rooftop tent work?
The base of the tent is made of drop-stitch fabric and is inflated like a SUP board. The tent is then set up on top with aluminium poles. With the WEEKEND, you then lift the finished tent onto the roof bars as one unit.
Is an inflatable rooftop tent stable?
Yes. Once inflated, the drop-stitch platform is firm and flat and carries up to 300 kg. On multi-day trips you should top up the air. The sleeping surface gives a little more than a base with a metal frame.
How long does it take to inflate?
With the included hand pump it takes about 5 minutes. Setting up and mounting on the car together take around 8–10 minutes.
Can I drive with the tent set up?
No. The WEEKEND is always set up on the ground, lifted onto the car as one unit and taken down before every drive. On the road it travels packed in the boot or in the WEEKEND Speedbag.
Where do I store the WEEKEND?
Packed, the WEEKEND measures 75 × 48 × 40 cm, about the size of a large holdall. It fits in a storage cupboard, cellar or boot – no garage or ceiling hoist needed. If the tent got wet, let it dry before you put it away.
