WEEKEND Classic and Comfort: two models, one concept
Both models share the drop-stitch platform, packed size and sleeping area. The Classic is the minimal base, the Comfort adds features for stargazing, sleeping in and rainy days.

Currently perhaps the lightest rooftop tent in the world: 11.5 kg tent weight. You inflate the drop-stitch platform like a SUP and pitch the tent on top with aluminium poles. Everything you need, nothing you don't.

Rooftop tent. Simple. Different.
Classic rooftop tents stay on the car permanently, weigh 50 kg and more and need a vehicle with a high roof load. The WEEKEND takes a different route: a rooftop tent that adapts to your everyday life, on the car roof or on the ground.
The tent floor is an inflatable drop-stitch platform, just like a stand-up paddle board. On top sits a ripstop sleeping cabin with aluminium poles. You set everything up on the ground, lift the complete unit onto your roof bars and secure it with the strap system.
Before you drive, you pack the tent away. It travels in the boot or in the Speedbag, and at home it disappears into a cupboard.
Why “WEEKEND”?
The name stands for the flexibility city-based weekend adventurers long for. We adapted the rooftop tent to city life: no hunting for storage space, no heaving heavy loads, no permanently occupied roof.

Setup in six steps
You set it up at your pitch, at ground level. Only then does the tent go on the roof. Here's how it looks in six steps. How the inflatable principle behind it works is explained on the WEEKEND page.
Step 1
Unpack
Take the carry bag out of the boot and roll out the drop-stitch platform on the ground.
Step 2
Inflate
Pump up the platform with the hand pump, just like a SUP. Inflated, it carries up to 300 kg.
Step 3
Set up on the ground
Thread the poles and pitch the tent on the platform. Everything happens at ground level, no ladder needed.
Step 4
Slide onto the roof
Lift the complete unit and slide it onto your roof bars. With 11.5 kg tent weight you can do it on your own.
Step 5
Secure
Fix it to your roof bars with the strap system. Depending on your bars, the Bridge goes underneath.
Step 6
Pack for the drive
Before you drive on, take it down and pack it up. The tent travels in the boot or in the Speedbag.

Important
Never drive with the WEEKEND set up on the roof. The tent is pitched at your stop and packed away again before every drive.

What is a lightweight roof tent?
A lightweight roof tent is made for vehicles that can't carry a classic hard shell rooftop tent: small cars, EVs, hybrids and estates with a low dynamic roof load. The WEEKEND combines a drop-stitch platform and an aluminium-pole tent into a tent weight from 11.5 kg.
Because the WEEKEND travels packed, the dynamic roof load doesn't matter while you drive. At your pitch, the static roof load of your car and bars is what counts, and it's usually much higher. You'll find the value for your model in the roof load finder.

WEEKEND FAQ
How many people fit in the WEEKEND?
The sleeping area measures 220 × 130 cm: comfortable for one, enough for two. If two of you sleep in it, we recommend the WEEKEND Bridge as a support.
Is the WEEKEND waterproof?
Yes. The tent has a 5,000 mm hydrostatic head. The WEEKEND Comfort also has rain canopies over both entrances. Up high, you sleep away from ground moisture.
Can I use the WEEKEND without a car?
Yes. On the WEEKEND Stage the tent sits approx. 50 cm above the ground. You can also use the drop-stitch platform on its own as a guest bed, play mat or airtrack.
Can I carry the WEEKEND on the roof?
Only when packed: in the WEEKEND Speedbag, secured to your roof bars with tension straps. Set up, the WEEKEND never travels on the roof.
Which roof bars do I need?
Sturdy crossbars rated for the load at your pitch. Our guide Roof bars for rooftop tents explains what matters for load capacity and spacing.
Do I need to top up the platform?
If you stay several nights in a row, top up the air briefly. A hand pump is included; an electric pump can speed up setup if you like.
How is it different from a classic rooftop tent?
The sleeping surface is an air platform rather than a metal frame and gives a little more. The tent fabric is lighter than on classic rooftop tents, and you take the tent down for every drive.
