Data types

We use so-called "cookies" on our website. These are small text files that are stored locally on your end device and can also store data beyond your visit to the respective website. General deletion and blocking specification

We erase or block your personal data in accordance with Art. 17 and 18 GDPR. In particular, we will delete the data as soon as the purpose for which we originally collected the data no longer applies, unless we are obliged to store it for a longer period of time in accordance with Article 6 (1) sentence 1 c) GDPR due to retention and documentation obligations under tax and commercial law. In the event of statutory retention obligations, we block the data so that we will only process it for the legally prescribed purpose.

Data security

In order to guarantee the security of your data, we use the widespread Secure Socket Layer (SSL) method to transmit website content and the data you enter. The data transmitted between you and our hosting provider is encoded using 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead.

Your rights

The purpose of our endeavours to protect your data is always to ensure that you have complete control over the information you provide. In addition to the rights described above, you therefore also have additional rights in relation to the personal data we hold about you, which we are pleased to describe in detail below.

Right to confirmation of processing

Right to data portability

Processing for the purpose of technical functionality

Hosting of the website

In order to make this website available to you, we work together with a hosting provider. This provider supplies the infrastructure for the trouble-free operation of this website and carries out regular maintenance to ensure that your data is not lost. In order to guarantee the protection of your data and compliance with data protection standards, we have also obliged our hosting provider to maintain our high data protection standards as part of an order processing contract in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. This provider processes inventory, contact, content, contract, usage and communication data of the users of this website on our behalf on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR in the maintenance, operation and security of this website.

In addition, usage data is generated every time you visit our website. This includes, in particular, the name of the website accessed, downloaded files, date and time of access, data volumes transferred, messages about successful access to the website, browser type and operating system used, the previously visited page, the IP address and the provider used. We or our hosting provider process these on our behalf and on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR in the protection against misuse and for security reasons. The personal data is stored for a period of 7 days, with the exception of data whose further storage is required for the purpose of preserving evidence, and is then automatically deleted.

Webshop cookie

To enable you to log in to our online shop and have a functioning shopping basket, we use a cookie on your device that assigns you a unique identifier. We use the resulting personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest in a functioning web shop system in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR. The cookie is a so-called session cookie that automatically loses its validity after you leave our website and close your browser and is usually removed automatically by your browser.

Contact us

If you would like to contact us, please use our contact form. We process the data collected there for the purpose of processing your contact enquiry in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) GDPR. If we remain in business contact beyond this, your personal data may also be processed in a corresponding system as part of customer relationship management. If the data is no longer required after answering your enquiry, we will delete it, provided there are no legal archiving obligations.

Newsletter

If you would like to keep up to date with the latest products and information, we offer you the opportunity to subscribe to our e-mail newsletter.

To ensure that no third party registers with your e-mail address, the registration procedure is designed as a so-called "double opt-in" procedure. After you have entered your e-mail address in the field provided and clicked the corresponding button to register, you will receive an e-mail from us containing a link to confirm your registration. For the purpose of verifiability, we log this registration and process the time of registration and confirmation, IP address and the e-mail address provided on the basis of our legitimate interest in the verifiability of a registration in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR. We use the email address you provide and your name to send the newsletter using the personal form of address 

If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter in future, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You will find an unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter. Of course, you can also simply send us an e-mail to the following address: info@groenberg.com.

After cancellation, we may store your name and e-mail address for up to 3 years on the basis of our legitimate interest in the traceability of the former registration in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR. The data is stored exclusively for this purpose and is blocked for use for other purposes.

Use of third-party services - technical functionality and information

Google reCAPTCHA

We use "Google reCAPTCHA" (hereinafter referred to as "reCAPTCHA") on our websites. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether the data input on our websites (e.g. in a contact form) is made by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time spent on the website by the website visitor or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.

Data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its website from abusive automated spying and SPAM.

CleverReach

For the dispatch of our newsletter, we work together with the dispatch service provider CleverReach GmbH & Co KG, Schafjückenweg 2, 26180 Rastede (hereinafter: CleverReach) on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR. By collecting the data, we are able to provide our interested parties with a functioning and user-friendly service. For this purpose, we forward the e-mail address and name you provide to the company.

Newsletters that are sent via Cleverreach are provided with a so-called "web-beacon" by the service. This is a file that is retrieved when the newsletter is opened and provides the company with information about your email client and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval. It also records whether a newsletter is opened at all and whether links from it are used. This data is also used exclusively to improve the Cleverreach service.

Use of third-party services - social media

Our company is also represented on Facebook, Twitter and Xing. To give you the opportunity to network with us there, we have placed corresponding links to the social media platforms.

Youtube

We display videos on our website using a YouTube plugin. YouTube is a Google service that we use on the basis of our legitimate interest in an appealing and customer-friendly functioning of our website in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR. We only integrate YouTube videos in the so-called extended data protection mode. This means that no data is collected by Google when you simply access the website. Only when you start playback by activating the plug-in will your IP address, the website you have visited and your entries in this plug-in be transmitted to Google servers in the USA and elsewhere.
