No more crawling across the ground, no heaving a heavy tent onto the roof: you set up WEEKEND on the ground, and with the Stage you get in at roughly seat height.
Set it up alone, without tools
WEEKEND is much lighter than conventional rooftop tents: 11.5 kg tent weight for Classic, 13 kg for Comfort. You set it up on the ground and then lift it onto your roof bars as one unit. No tools needed. Setup and roof mounting take around 8–10 minutes.
A hand pump is included for inflating. If that's too tiring, use an electric pump – it's not included. Lifting the tent onto the car roof still takes some effort, especially with taller cars. With the Stage: get in like getting into bed
WEEKEND doesn't have to go on the car. You can also place it on Groenberg Stage, a platform around 50 cm high – in your own garden, for example. The entry edge is then at roughly seat height: sit down, swing your legs in, done. No crawling across the ground, no ladder.

A tent for seniors who want to travel
On the road, WEEKEND travels in the boot while you drive – only the roof bars are on the roof. Your car needs to be approved for roof bars. When parked, the static roof load and the load rating of your roof bars apply. The static roof load is usually much higher than the dynamic one, because the roof also has to withstand a rollover. Important
WEEKEND is set up on the ground and then lifted onto the car or the Stage as a complete unit. It comes off again before every drive – never drive with the tent on the roof, neither set up nor packed.
A sleeping mat is not included. Bring one for each person in the tent.
Stargazing straight from bed
WEEKEND Comfort has a removable SkyView roof with two panorama windows. You fall asleep looking up at the night sky – on the road or in your own garden.
To be honest: what you should know
On the car, you reach WEEKEND via the 2.30 m aluminium ladder. If ladders are hard for you, the Stage is the better choice. There's no standing height inside; you move around sitting or on your knees. The sleeping surface isn't as rigid as on rooftop tents with a metal-frame floor, and over several nights you'll top up the air in the floor now and then. The tent has to come off the roof before every drive – allow around five minutes to pack it down.
Conclusion: camping with less effort
Groenberg WEEKEND takes a lot of the effort out of rooftop camping: setup on the ground, no tools, and with the Stage, entry at roughly seat height. Camping is never completely effortless – but for anyone who wants to keep spending nights outdoors without wearing themselves out, it's a good solution.
