Rooftop tent accessories: what you really need
The right ladder
All Groenberg rooftop tents come with a 2.30 m ladder, which is enough for most cars. For taller vehicles such as vans or high SUVs with roof bars, there is a 2.6 m ladder for Alvar, Tjelvar and Halvor 160.
More space in front of the tent
A tarp protects against sun and rain, an annex creates an enclosed space on the ground. The Halvor 160 has both, Alvar and Tjelvar have the Katto Tarp. How it works with the WEEKEND is shown in our guide awning or tarp for your rooftop tent.
No car needed, or a free boot
With the WEEKEND Stage, your WEEKEND stands at approx. 50 cm without a car. The Speedbag carries the packed WEEKEND on your roof bars so your boot stays free.
Important for the WEEKEND
The Speedbag is for transporting the packed tent. The WEEKEND itself is always set up on the ground, lifted onto the car as a complete unit and never travels on the roof set up.

Do the accessories fit other rooftop tent models?
Most accessories are made for a specific model. Bridge, Stage and Speedbag fit the WEEKEND Classic and Comfort, the Katto Tarp and Roof Rack fit Alvar and Tjelvar, the Annex and Skyd Tarp fit the Halvor 160. Compatibility is listed on each product page.
Which ladder do I need for my rooftop tent?
A 2.30 m ladder is included. For taller vehicles, a 2.6 m ladder is available for Alvar, Tjelvar and Halvor 160.
Is there an inner tent for cold nights?
Yes, there is a Thermo Inner Tent for both Alvar and Tjelvar. The extra insulating layer is attached inside the tent and adds comfort on cooler nights.
How much can the Roof Rack carry?
On a closed Alvar or Tjelvar, the Roof Rack carries up to 100 kg; on an open tent, up to 30 kg. Tent, rack and load together must not exceed your car’s dynamic roof load.
Do you sell roof bars?
